K and K's comments about Baby Sister:

Us: "We will be adopting a baby girl from Korea!"

Kacie: (she was actually already in on it since she is home with me, she got suspicious when I started watching Na Yeon's video)

Kaden: " NO! I want a brother!"

Us: "Kaden, it didn't matter to us if our next baby was a boy or a girl, this little girl came along at the right time. . . and, we want you to know that we will be taking you and Kacie with us to Korea to pick her up!"

Kaden: (his frown starting to turn into a big smile, he suddenly jumps up and says): "I get to name IT"



-Then the next week I find out he is telling his teachers, and his friends at school that he is getting a baby sister and that her birthday is coming up! My heart swells big for this boy! And of course there is the time in the car when K and K are fighting over whose baby sister she is! They both are wanting to "claim" her:-)

-Kacie has taken it very calmly and matter of factly, like she knew our wonderful secret before even we did. I would not doubt it. There is something truly amazing about Kacie and I cannot wait to see her meet her little sister. At night, she will ask about her little sister and ask again about when we will be able to get her. Sadly, I tell her it will be a very long time. She is doing well so far but I do worry that the wait will get to her.

-The first night we "officially" told the kids, I was putting Kacie to bed and we were talking about baby sister and our upcoming Korea trip. . . and I suddenly realized that Kacie hadn't put it together yet that her going to Korea may mean that she gets to see her foster Mommy again! When I told her this pure joy bursted from her! My second greatest moment I can't wait for is for Kacie to see her Foster Mommy again. (first is to meet our new baby girl with K and K there)
