Two Months Home!

I can't believe that Avah has been home now for 2 months! She has adjusted so well. She is still just a very happy, easy going little girl. She sleeps, eats, plays very well. There are times that she will remind us that she is 2! when she acts like a typical two year old it really throws me .. . I am so used to her being so easy going! I still believe she is healing. There are times when I can see pain written all over her face. She is quite the Daddy's girl now. . . she spends most of her time with him when he is home. But, watch out if I decide to leave! She still will not go for that one at all:)
Her language is really coming along. In Korea, she only had 3 words that she rarely would say. How many words does she have now? Too many to count. Sure, I think she is still delayed but I am so impressed with how fast she learned english and how much she understands. She is catching up rapidly! I am guessing that she has said at least 25 words! And, her receptive language is great!
She is still quite the copycat. During the day I catch her doing something that is familiar. I can always figure out whose behavior she is copying. Her newest "trick" is jumping. When she is happy, she will take off jumping all over the room!
Over all, she is extremely healthy. Sure, she is vision impaired and hearing impaired but both of these things do not hinder her in the least. The worse thing we are dealing with are her teeth. For unknown reasons, her teeth were badly neglected in Korea. She will have to have surgery to remove her top, front four teeth. Now, she smiles ALL the time. . . It will be hard seeing her with no top teeth for at least five more years! Her surgery is at the end of September.
Here are some pics of her. she carries the hula hoop around just like Kaden! She is so cute when she tries to hula:)
