I Found Avah's Foster Sister!!!

This has been a most unexpected week! The big news is that we found Avah's foster sister. The girls lived together for 13 months and grew up as sisters, sharing the same clothes, bottles etc:) While waiting for Avah, we got reports saying that Avah had a foster sister, who was her age, that she gets along well with. Whenever I heard of any new girl referrals from the different forums I am on I would always check to see if by chance, we could find Avah's foster sister's parents. No luck for almost 2 years!

Now, this week, one of my good friends set up a way for Eastern families to compare foster mothers to see if we could reunite foster siblings and believe it or not, within an hour or so I came across a picture of a little girl who was wearing a dress that Avah had worn in Korea...and, the fostermom looked so familiar and then when I looked at the timeline of when that little girl was in korea the dates matched up with Avah! I could not believe it! Here was Avah's foster sister! Immediately, I connected with the mother of this little girl and now, I would like to introduce, the beautiful Lauren! Lauren is two months younger than Avah. Such a surreal moment to look into the eyes of this little girl and to know that this was a familiar face to Avah for over a year! We are so blessed to have this connection! We are hoping and planning on having the girls see each other for sure, not sure when that could be yet. They live 7 hours away from us... but, that isn't too far away for someone I never thought I'd find!
